Botswana Military To Deepen Cooperation With GAF

Botswana Defence Advisor to Ghana and Nigeria, Brigadier Anderson Aobakwe Motlho has paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General Obed Boamah Akwa to deepen the cooperation between Botswana military and the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) on Wednesday 14 March, 2018.

Brigadier Motlho in his address stated that the aim of the visit was for Botswana military to have a cadet exchange programme with GAF to enable them build upon the skills of their cadets.

He also noted that the collaboration would aid the Botswana military to learn from Ghana’s expertise and long standing experience in International Peace Support Operations.
The Chief of Staff (COS), Rear Admiral Moses Beick-Baffour on behalf of the CDS welcomed Brigadier Motlho and assured him that GAF would give the Botswana military the necessary support needed for their endeavour. He added that necessary documentation would be put in place to ensure the effectiveness of the collaboration.
Brigadier Motlho thereafter paid similar visits to the Commandant, Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC), Rear Admiral Seth Amoama and the Commandant, Military Academy and Training Schools (MATS), Major General Omane-Agyekum to share the same thought with them.

There were exchanged of gifts between the hosts and Brigadier Motlho to commemorate the day.
